Our office address is 2 Mary Street, Sunderland, SR1 3NH, Hendon Community Care has been a registered company since 1998 and we were a Voluntary Service before this.
Our Logo was designed based on our 'Person centered' approach to care.
We recognise the importance of supporting and promoting the independence of people within their own home, and offer fully trained assistance to achieve this goal.
We pride ourselves on ensuring the highest standard of care, which is achieved by regular training, monitoring and continuous communication with the service user.
The service is available to adults who are frail, elderly, returning from hospital, and people who have physical and learning disabilities.
The services we provide range from personal care, companionship, meal preparation, domestic tasks, shopping and pension collection, and escort support. These can be accessed via referral from Local Authority under our contractual agreement with them, or they can be accessed under private arrangements with the service user or their representative.
We endeavour to adopt a person centred approach in delivering the service. This means treating our service users as individuals, recognising their diverse requirements and circumstances and trying to provide the service in a realistic manner that meets those requirements safely, for both the service user and the home support worker.
