Swedish massage is generally a relaxing/de stress massage. Swedish massage consists of 5 movements, these all work together to remove toxins and other metabolic waste from your body. This is a great treatment and can be relaxing & destressing or it can be invigorating. It works on your nerves, muscles, glands and circulation and is a great all round treatment. Regular treatments can insure you have a reduced stress lifestyle. A usual treatment will last for about an hour but treatments can vary depending on what time you as our clients have available.

The term “Swedish Massage” refers to a variety of techniques specifically designed to relax muscles by applying pressure to them against deeper muscles and bones.

The main purpose of Swedish massage is to increase the oxygen flow in the blood and release toxins from the muscle. Massage strokes can be done to invigorate or to relax you.

Swedish massage shortens recovery time from muscle strain by flushing the tissues of lactic acid, uric acid, and other metabolic wastes. It increases circulation without increasing heart load. It stretches the ligaments and tendons keeping them supple and pliable. Swedish massage also stimulates the skin and nervous system and soothes the nerves themselves at the same time. It reduces stress, both emotional and physical, and is suggested in a regular program for stress management.

A typical treatment last around an hour and works on the whole body. You will be completely covered with soft towels. Save for the area of the body to be massaged is uncovered. This is a great all round treatment. One of my personal favourites.
