My name is Jag.

I practice Thai Yoga Massage and would like to offer to you this beautiful massage art form. Perhaps you have sustained an injury, through sport, in an accident or gradually with overuse; or maybe you are suffering with work related upper body tension; or you are feeling anxious and stressed and wish for deep relaxation. In my experience, Thai Yoga massage is the most powerfully therapeutic massage for musculo-skeletal troubles, especially poor posture and shortened muscles, tension, sciatica, headaches, to name but a few; and for improving the health of the internal organs, as well as calming emotional upset.

For those who wish for a deeper massage, this is a delight. Thai Massage is given on a futon mat (on the floor) with the recipient fully clothed. It uses a combination of compressions, slow pressing into the muscles (imagine it as sinking into the muscles), and applied yoga stretches. This is its great strength, for to rehabilitate muscles they must be compressed as well as stretched, and is particularly great for sports people of all fields. The massage is given rhythmically and slowly and with mindfulness, like a moving meditation. It will leave you feeling more open and supple, energised and yet deeply relaxed too.

Loyal to the tradition in Thailand, I offer this massage in sessions of 3 to 4 hours (although I do also offer shorter sessions of at least 1.5 hours). So often with western massages, an hour is just not enough. You reach the end of the massage at a point when you have just began to let go of all that tension and are happily drifting away to a blissful space. And then it ends, leaving you wanting more and feeling it has been cut short! This is why i offer the longer sessions, allowing you to go deeper into that restful place.

The cost is £60 an hour, so £90 for 1.5 hours, £120 for 2 hours, £150 for 2.5 hours and so on…However, I offer a sliding scale system, whereby if you are on a low income, say unemployed or retired, and really wish to have a session but can only afford a reduced fee, then I am happy to work something out that is within your means (reduced rate sessions available only in Finchley).

Home and Hotel visits are also available, in the North, North West, and Central London areas, for a minimum of 1.5 hours, at a cost of £60 an hour also (do ask if you live outside these zones and something can be arranged for a little extra cost).

Flexible appointments are available, including evenings and weekends.
