Assess don’t guess
Assess don’t guess
The body doesn't lie, it can reveal physical, emotional, mental and spiritual problems that can be the root cause of your client or patient's problem, whatever they may be. By observing posture, both statically and during movement, and applying a basic understanding of how the body works as a whole, you can identify when specific help, or approaches are required to achieve success both for you and your client.
Assess don't guess is a course designed to help any health practitioner, therapist or personal trainer, who has a basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
A new course is coming up in Cambridge in June run by 3 therapists who are interested in furthering colleagues' understanding of how posture (static and dynamic) can be observed and assessed to determine the possible causes of pain or disease. It will include the anatomy of the major muscles affecting posture.
