Introduction to United Pipework Specialists Ltd
United Pipework has been established since 1998. The company was originally set up by three directors being Bert whale, Steve Whale and David Whale (Bert and Dave Brothers and Steve Bert’s son.)
Sadly in 2004 Bert Whale passed away meaning the business is now owned by the two directors Dave and Steve Whale. Steve has been in the Petroleum industry for over 23 years and Dave over 30 years, both worked out on sites before becoming directors.
United Pipework is a small company based in Walsall, West Midlands. We specialise in pipeworks and groundworks.
Tank lid removal and replace is a key area to which we work on
Pipe work
We have installed pipework on petrol forecourts from small garages up to motorway services. Over the years products have changed mostly due to health and safety and environmental issues, we keep up to date with the latest product s and have installed:

• Single and double contained pipework
• Marina flex
We work on suction and pressure systems also air,water oil and chemical lines.
We have also installed pipework on MOD sites, Bus depots, Hospital, Airport terminals including the 2012 Olymic stadium. We can also install above ground storage tanks and super vaults housing petroleum spirits.
We have recently been installing stage 2 Vapour recovery with new pumps on BP sites and removing and re-installing tank manlids for tank relining on Tesco sites.
Ground works
We have skilled ground workers for works to include;

Also concrete repairs and Tarmac repairs.

Staff
Our staff is made up of fully trained pipe fitters , ground workers and bricklayer. We like most companies had to reduce staff due to recession but we look to expand once again with workload.
All our engineers are trained and certificated in SPA carrying photo ID cards with them on each site they attend. They have also been on other courses to include:

7. Forklifts
8. Fire
Also trained in using new pipeworks as mentioned earlier.
All our staff adhere to the highest health and safety standards.
Our company has won awards for Outstanding contribution towards HSSE and most improved company IIF Safety awards. We are also part of the Peninsula group who monitor and accredit us for our health and safety both on site and here in the office.
