Started in 2007, and ending in 2012, all TV in the UK will go completely digital. This process is called digital TV switchover and it's going to happen TV region by TV region.
The London TV region will switchover to digital TV in April 2012, at which point the whole region will get Freeview. Digital UK will be writing to everyone in your region before the signal switches to digital to keep you posted on what's happening.
